Draw Me Closer, Lord (Bible Study)

I’m so glad you’ll be joining me on this 8 week Bible study that Starts August 3, 2020. For this study, we will be going through the book “Draw Me Closer, Lord” by Marsha Hubler. (If you still need the book, I’ll link it at the end of this Post.)

During this Bible study we will be digging into what God says about prayer. We will learn to value prayer. We will learn practical ways to find time to pray. And we will learn ways to effectively pray for others.

I’m so excited to get started. I get all sorts of questions about prayer. And if I’m being honest, my prayer life isn’t the greatest. I pray that this study will be an encouragement to us all and that we can implement the things we learn.

The Structure

This Bible Study will be similar to the ones I have done with you all in the past. Plus, I’m adding a new element. The Zoom Call! The Bible Study will be done primarily through my Instagram account. And at the bottom of this post you’ll find our calendar. It will include all of your reading assignments and the schedule for our zoom calls.

Basically, we will all read the same material Monday through Friday. I’ll story and post about our reading throughout the week. Saturday and Sunday we won’t have any assignments. Use those to catch up if you need to, before we start our next week.

Zoom Calls

A few days before our zoom calls are scheduled, I’ll create a poll on my IG stories to see when the best time will be for the most people to join the call. So, make sure you’re following along with my stories so you can vote!

I’ll also try to have a few questions posted that we can all discuss on each zoom call. Plus, we will have time for other discussions as well. I’m so excited about adding this new element to our studies. I love discussing what I’ve read with other women. But, I’m new to the zoom call and have only had 1 practice run! So bear with me, please.

The Calendar

On each week day, you will find “Pages” and “?”. The “Pages” section includes the pages in our book you should read that day. The “?” section tells you what study questions in the book you should have answered for that day. The days that have the bold red outline, are the days we have a scheduled zoom call. Make sure you have the app downloaded so you’re ready to go.
